New Bentley Continental GT Speed Goodwood FoS Debut

The new Bentley Continental GT Speed will debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of  Speed and feature in the daily Michelin Supercar Run. Bentley sent us a press release last night with their news for the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed, which included the news that they will debut a new model and that it would feature in the Supercar run. New Nissan 'Golf rival' teaser shot revealed

AFTER a long absence from the compact family hatchback market, Nissan has released a teaser shot of the car that it hopes will 'putt' the Volkswagen Golf in its place. The new car will be called the Pulsar, and comes eight years after the final UK-bound Almera hatchback was sold. Nissan will be hoping that the dour reputation of that car will be left long behind, and on the basis of its latest models like the new Qashqai, things are looking good.

German new car sales drop 11 per cent – pre-reg accounts for 33.5 per cent

New car sales in Germany dropped by 11 per cent in September with pre-reg cars accounting for over a third of all sales. That drop of 11 per cent in Germany is despite deep discount offers – an average of 12.2 per cent in September – with even the previously invincible Mercedes and VW having to offer discounts of up to €3k, despite which VW’s sales fell by 20 per cent in Germany and Mercedes by 12 per cent. What’s perhaps most interesting about the decline in car sales in Germany is the number of pre-reg cars sold (pre reg cars are cars registered by dealers to hit sales targets and then sold at a discount of up to 25 per cent).
